Third Edition of Le Dîner en Blanc Going Down This November

Nairobi will once again play host to Le Dîner en Blanc in its third edition this year. Launched in Paris in the late 80's, the event has become a worldwide epicurean phenomenon, attracting over 10,000 people each year.

The glam affair is going down on the 25th of November, promising to be even bigger and better as the organizers bring on board more exciting sponsors for this edition.


The location you ask? As per the principles of the event, the location is to be kept secret, and revealed minutes prior to the commencement of the event. Over 450 foodies, fashion and cultural enthusiasts have attended the event in the past and 600 are expected this year.

Registration to participate happens in three stages:

Phase 1 is for members who attended the previous year;

Phase 2 is for new members who are referred by Phase I attendees;

Phase 3 is for people who signed up on the waiting list via the official website: nairobi.dinerenblanc.com/register.

Ticket sales began on Tuesday, 31st , October, 2017 and will be closed next week so better start heading there to grab some!


Le Dîner en Blanc - Nairobi is truly a magical event that brings people of all colors, races, tribes, backgrounds together for the chicest picnic ever! This year's theme is #StrongerTogether. LeAnne Peris, Host.

Bystanders will witness groups of guests all dressed in white gathering at specific rallying points all across the city. Guided by Dîner en Blanc volunteers, these groups will then converge on one of the Nairobi’s most beautiful setting, travelling by chartered bus.


Guests must bring:

1. A white tablecloth and white napkins

2. A picnic basket comprising fine food and proper stemware and white dinnerware. o A catered picnic basket option, which can be picked up on site, will be available for those who do not wish to pack their own. Guests wishing to do so must reserve online through Dîner en Blanc website during the initial ticket registration.

3. Champagne and/or wine. Beer and hard liquor are prohibited. o Guests wishing to enjoy some wine or Champagne, can reserve online through the Dîner en Blanc’s e-store but are also welcome to bring their own drinks and beverages.
