Westlands can never be dull- I mean look at all the bars popping up in the area- each better than the next. Well the truth of the matter is that we are not complaining!
Bars Kenya recently attended the Bahama Breeze bar opening in Westlands- and we couldn’t be more impressed. Located along on Electric avenue, a big lighted palm tree just outside the new bar is not to miss. In fact, that’s the signature sign of Bahama Breeze.
As the bar name suggests, the theme is Caribbean and the décor is in line with that. African inspired prints for the seats, all wood everything and a boat shaped bar area. All that’s missing is the sun and sand to feel like you’re having your drink on a beach somewhere.
We liked that the toilets were clean despite the people traffic that night. Service was okay but on busy nights it can get hectic, so make sure you grab a waiter as soon as you see them. The parking situation is also quite challenging (being Westlands) but with neighbors like Fortis towers, you can get a spot to safely put your car in without the headache of paying untrustworthy individuals.
You can take advantage of the introductory drink menu which features a selection of very affordable cocktails. A mojito was going for only Kshs 400, as well as some other signature drinks from the bar. A top *Bars Kenya tip would be to personally order your cocktail drink directly from the bar to ensure the bar man gets your taste right.
The music is pretty dope, and with a DJ line up like Andre,Kace, Lithium and Protégé gracing the decks, you are bound to be on your feet all night.
Another plus about Bahama Breeze is that they have themed days- like the BBQ Sunday where they have live BBQ, as you have a chance to create your own platters and enjoy happy hour on cocktails. There are also lots of drink specials during the week.
