I remember my first brunch. It was randomly decided during a
night out to celebrate my girl’s birthday. Right as our bar hopping adventures were
coming to an end; an announcement was made that we must all to go home to
freshen up and meet at a local hotel for “brunch”.
Your first brunch will always be special and once you are hooked it becomes a lifestyle.
Last week after spending all of Monday recovering from the 10 Years of X Blankets and Wine show I was looking forward to THE BIG BRUNCH PARTY which has now climbed up to my best brunches ever! After a not so restful weekend, a trip out of town to take in some fresh air, reflect, mingle with other creatives and indulge in yummy food and drinks was exactly what I needed.

About the Big Brunch Party
Being there for the launch of the first run was huge.
The Big Brunch Party Epic Nanyuki Edition
Two buses left Nairobi on Tuesday afternoon with a group of other journalists, influencers and restauranteurs as well as EABL staff for and after settling in at Maiyan Resort where we would be spending the night almost four hours later we were headed out for a barbeque dinner at Soammes Hotel.

With everyone tired from the journey and an early wake up call to hid, it was
time to call it a night. The next morning no one was taking chances and some of
us were up us early as 5am so as not to miss the sunrise.
After breakfast, it was time for the much anticipated helicopter or plane ride over Mount Kenya where we spotted the very stunning white caps that the beer that brought us out here is named after.
And then it was time for brunch where the team at Soames had out done
themselves with an appetising spread.
How about a refreshing White Cap Beertail?
Sara Mitaru’s and her band were also present to set the mood because we all know a good brunch needs some music. Does it not?
It’s here that we get to hear from the EABL team to know what this joint effort means. According
to Andrew Kilonzo (KBL Sales Director), the campaign embodies the true spirit
of White Cap Lager consumers. He describes White cap as a connoisseur's beer saying
that as a brand they are happy to partner with an EatOut Kenya.
“We are setting the mood for Christmas holiday, because Kenya is becoming a culinary tourism destination. In the past the country has experienced a huge boom in food and drink festivals, therefore, as KBL we have to continue doing disrupting activities like the Big Brunch,” said Mr Kilonzo.
There will be 30 spots to chose from when the Big Brunch officially kicks off on the 24th-25th November 2018 weekend in Nairobi. Participating restaurants will offer brunch lovers complimentary White Cap Lager, enticing brunch menus and beer bucket offers throughout the weekend.
